Transport Trip
As part of their Transport topic, children from Meldon Class enjoyed a train ride and visit to the Rare Breeds Farm in Totnes. For many of our Foundation Stage pupils, this was their first ever school trip!
Easter Storytelling
Pupils from Meldon class were invited to a storytelling session in the Guest Hall at Buckfast Abbey. Afterwards, everyone was given a toy donkey to remind them about the Easter story that they had heard.
Warburton’s Visit
Staff from Warburton’s bread came to visit Meldon Class. Pupils tasted different types of bread and also had a go at making their own bread!
Jack and the Beanstalk
We are learning all about Jack and the Beanstalk.
Chinese New Year
Meldon Class celebrated Chinese New Year with a special Chinese meal. Pupils tasted Chinese noodles, rice and prawn crackers – yummy! They also carried out lots of other activities to celebrate the Year of the Rooster.
Dogs Trust
Stacey, from the Dogs Trust, came to talk to Meldon Class about being ‘Dog Smart’. The session included remembering to ask the owner before stroking a dog, learning how to approach a dog and what to do if you are worried about a dog’s behaviour.
