I Believe in Unicorns

Pupils enjoyed watching Alibi Theatre Company perform the play ‘I Believe in Unicorns’ based on the book by Michael Morpurgo.  Pupils followed up the visit with creative writing and some beautiful artwork.

We're going on a bear hunt

Pupils from  Venford Class went for a walk around Buckfast on their bear hunt.  They eventually found the bear in the local caves, having learnt lots of interesting facts about the local area en route.

Visit from Victorian factory worker

Burrator Class pupils had a special visitor recently, Mabel Earnshaw, who visited the class to tell them all about her experiences as a Victorian Factory worker.  She answered some questions which the children had prepared for her and left a basket of objects for them to research about her life.
