Fernworthy Class Residential Trip to Harford Bunkhouse
Pupils from Fernworthy class went on a Dartmoor hike and then camped out at the bunkhouse at Harford. Everyone worked together during the overnight stay, enjoying a walk on the moors, cooking pizza on an open fire and taking part in some problem solving activities.
Hot and Cold
As part of Venford’s topic about Hot and Cold areas, the classroom and outdoor area was turned into the Antartica for a day. Healthy Humans
To launch the Healthy Humans topic, pupils were visited by a local dentist and the children found out how to use disclosure tablets to identify plaque and learnt about how to take care of their teeth and gums. Trip to Victorian Museum
Burrator Class pupils celebrated the end of their Victorians topic by visiting Bygones Museum in St Marychurch, Torquay where pupils had a guided tour of a Victorian street and dressed up in traditional Victorian costumes.
Hannukah

Christmas Carol Service
All pupils took part in a Carol Service with readings, carols and a tableau of the nativity in Buckfast Abbey. The pupils had learnt a number of carols for the service, have a listen to how beautifully the children sounded in the Abbey.
I Believe in Unicorns
Pupils enjoyed watching Alibi Theatre Company perform the play ‘I Believe in Unicorns’ based on the book by Michael Morpurgo. Pupils followed up the visit with creative writing and some beautiful artwork.
We’re going on a bear hunt
Pupils from Venford Class went for a walk around Buckfast on their bear hunt. They eventually found the bear in the local caves, having learnt lots of interesting facts about the local area en route.
