Pupils enjoyed a day out at Pennywell Farm. The children saw lots of different animals and learnt about how they are cared for and the sorts of food that is eaten by different species.
Pupils from Venford took part in a recycling day where they learnt about why it is so important to recycle materials. Activities included model making and creating recycled paper from wood pulp.
The school choir has attended a number of community events and residential homes. The choir were able to wear their newly printed t-shirts for these occasions. Pupils performed ‘Peace Child’ at the end of the summer term. The story revolves around the far away land of Mambica, where two opposing tribes eventually discover peace through the gift of a new-born child.
Pupils enjoyed a trip to Stover Country Park, where they took part in a range of different ecological activities during the day and learnt about the some of the conservation work that is taking place.
