Burrator pupils celebrated St Nicholas Day at Buckfast Abbey with pupils from lots of other local primary schools. St Mary’s supported Children In Need this year by ‘going spotty’ and dressing up in ‘mufti’. We also sold Pudsey headbands and key rings and altogether raised an amazing £176 for the charity! We had so much fun on the day and even had spotty cakes for our dessert at lunchtime.
St Mary’s welcomed Abimbola Alao to school. She started the day by telling some stories to the whole school, which included lots of actions and phrases that pupils really enjoyed joining it with!
Pupils from our Go Active breakfast club helped to plan and organise an obstacle course to help raise money for the Devon Air Ambulance.
Pupils from Meldon class were invited to a storytelling session in the Guest Hall at Buckfast Abbey. Afterwards, everyone was given a toy donkey to remind them about the Easter story that they had heard.
