Holy Week Activities

Children took part in a number of activities both in school and at Buckfast Abbey, as part of their preparations for Holy Week.   All pupils were invited to take part in the Threads of Easter workshop at the Abbey, where pupils heard the Easter Story from Palm Sunday to Easter Day.  At each stop, a bead was added to a thread, which when completed created a souvenir to remind the children of the story that they had heard.

Divali Day

The whole school participated in a multi-cultural day based around the Festival of Divali.  After a whole school assembly, each class participated in craft, cookery, musical, art, literacy and dance activities to deepen their understanding of this festival and the culture that surrounds it.  Parents were invited into school at the end of the day where each class had displayed their learning that had taken place during the day.

Peace Child
