Meldon Nativity

This year our EYFS class, Meldon, performed a nativity for the school and parents/ carers.  All of the children worked very hard to prepare for the performance and were brave to perform in front of so many people.  The event went very well and reminded everyone about the Christmas story and the real meaning of Christmas.

Brother Bear trip

As part of their topic, learning about how different people help us, Meldon Class went to Buckfast Abbey to learn a bit more about the life of the monks that live there.  Each person was also given a bear who joined them on the tour of the Abbey.

Falcon Visit

We learnt about nocturnal animals and read the story of ‘Owl babies’. Mr Taylor brought in his falcon and talked about birds of prey – where they live, how they eat and how they fly.
