St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is a religious order school, owned and supported by Buckfast Abbey Trust. We are part of Plymouth CAST Multi Academy Trust which includes thirty-five Catholic schools, and one nursery, of the Diocese of Plymouth. We were extremely proud to have received a letter from the Secretary of State for Education, who congratulated St Mary’s on being in the top 1% of primary schools in England for reading and writing.
We encourage all pupils to be hard-working, polite, cheerful and ready to help others. Our curriculum is designed to be creative, challenging and inspiring, enabling our pupils to become independent and resilient learners. All of our staff work in close partnership with parents and governors, to create a close and caring community.
